A strange day

Today at work, a concerned office manager came into my office asking for our receptionist's mobile no as she had gone out to the supermarket to buy morning tea an hour ago and hadn't returned. (She's normally gone for about 15-20 minutes.) Not getting onto the receptionist, the two of us, went out to look for her. Standing by our lifts, both imagining a billion things that could have gone wrong I prayed aloud "Dear God, please let her just be stuck in a lift or something not so bad." We went out to look for her and found her just being rescued by police rescue with 6 others from a supermarket lift. They had been stuck in there for 30 minutes.

Later on in the day, I came across my boss outside the lifts. He asked me not to pray that he would get stuck in a lift...

It was a strange day.

Hey, at least he recognised that your prayers are effective!
